Jordan Boys have dismissed talk that the presence of Washington Navaya and Prince Dube will automatically hand their opponents three points when the two sides meet in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture on Saturday.
Navaya, the 2025 Golden Boot winner, and new signing Dube have been tipped to form one of the most feared attacking partnerships in the league, but the Jordan camp remains confident of upsetting the odds.
We respect every opponent, but we are not scared of any player or team, a Jordan Boys spokesperson said ahead of the clash. Football is played on the pitch, not on paper. We have prepared well and we believe we can get a result.
The match has been described as a David versus Goliath affair, with the home side expected to dominate. However, Jordan Boys have shown resilience in recent outings and will rely on a compact defensive shape to frustrate the star-studded attack.
Kickoff is set for 3pm at a venue to be confirmed by the league.
