President Emmerson Mnangagwa has described the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show as a clear indicator that Zimbabwe remains on a positive development trajectory. Speaking after touring the exhibition on 28 August, the President noted that the quality and variety of displays reflect growing innovation across the agricultural sector.
The annual event has drawn exhibitors from various sub-sectors, including crop production, livestock, mechanisation and agro-processing. This year’s edition stood out for its emphasis on technology-driven farming solutions and value addition, aligning with the government’s push for modernised agriculture.
President Mnangagwa urged stakeholders to continue investing in research and development to sustain the momentum. He said the agricultural show demonstrates the resilience of Zimbabwean farmers and businesses, and serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and market linkages.
